Weight Training
Strength ~ Tone ~ Core ~ Power
As an experienced performer and dance educator, I bring a heightened awareness of posture, form and efficiency of movement to each session while focusing on strength & conditioning. This not only helps avoid injuries and can aid in rehabilitation, but it allows you to quickly and safely achieve your fitness goals through specific, customized exercises. The workouts are also organic and even fun!
Cardio & Intervals
Healthy Heart ~ Stamina
Rather than taking time out of your session on cardio machines, we may focus on interval training as a means to get your heart rate up and work on endurance. I encourage you to do aerobic conditioning on your own using modalities that work for you and together we can come up with an individualized cardio program.
Stretch
Mobility ~ Flexibility ~ Energy
For most people, the main purpose of stretching should be for full range of motion and joint mobility to aid in proper body mechanics. It can also feel great to limber up those stiff muscles. This is what I focus on using various methods such as, dynamic warm-up, passive and guided, gentle stretching and - using tools such as foam rollers - self myofascial release (SMR).
